Cyber Security

Practical security, not scare tactics.

You don’t need a military budget or a wall of jargon — you need the basics done properly. We help small businesses get genuinely more secure, with sensible steps that match your actual risk.

The short version

The right amount of security for your business.

Security vendors love fear — it sells expensive products you may not need. We take the opposite approach: understand what you’re actually protecting, then close the gaps that matter most, in order.

Most breaches exploit the boring stuff: weak passwords, no backups, unpatched systems, one careless click. Fix those well and you’re ahead of most.

  • Right-sized — matched to your real risk, not fear
  • Basics first — the high-impact fundamentals, done properly
  • Backups that work — tested recovery, not just “we have backups”
  • Plain English — no jargon, no scaremongering

Questions

Good to know

We’re small — are we really a target?+
Yes. Attackers automate; they don’t care how big you are. Small businesses get hit precisely because they assume they won’t.
Do we need Cyber Essentials?+
Increasingly, yes — many contracts and larger clients now require it. Even if not, it’s a solid baseline and we can get you there.
Will this be a load of expensive software?+
Not from us. A lot of the highest-impact improvements are configuration and process, not products.
What if we already had a scare?+
We can help you recover, understand what happened, and make sure it doesn’t happen again.
