Technology & Business Advisory

An independent expert in your corner.

When you’re being pitched to, outnumbered and buried in acronyms, the deck is stacked. We even it up — sitting at the table as an impartial expert with no stake in the sale, so you make the right call and get the best deal.

The short version

Enterprise-grade advice, no sales agenda.

We’re not resellers and we don’t take vendor commission. That means our only job is your best interest — cutting through the jargon, aligning technology to your business goals, and making sure every promise ends up in writing.

Whether it’s a single big decision or an ongoing sounding board, we bring 20+ years of enterprise experience to businesses that could never justify hiring it full-time.

  • Vendor-independent — no commission, no bias, no upsell
  • Plain English — every buzzword translated
  • In the room — we attend meetings on your behalf
  • Documented — considerations captured and checked off
What's included

What advisory looks like

Pick what you need — one meeting, one decision, or a steady hand on the tiller.

Meeting representation

We join (or replace you in) vendor and supplier meetings, ask the awkward questions and keep the conversation honest.

Contract & quote review

We read the small print, itemise the costs, spot the lock-in and tell you exactly what you’re signing.

Software & vendor selection

Impartial help choosing the right tool or supplier for your needs and budget — not the one with the best sales team.

Cost optimisation

A cold, independent look at what you’re spending on tech, and where the easy savings are.

Technology roadmap

A clear, prioritised plan that ties your tech decisions to where the business is actually going.

Due diligence

Buying, selling or investing? We assess the technology and the risks in plain terms.

How it works

From bamboozled to in control, in four steps

1

Understand

We learn your business, your goals and exactly what’s being proposed.

2

Translate

Every spec, buzzword and clause turned into plain English.

3

Challenge

We pressure-test the pitch, compare options and negotiate hard.

4

Document

Requirements and commitments written down — then checked off as they’re met.

Questions

Good to know

Do you take commission from vendors?+
No — never. We’re completely vendor-independent. You pay us, so we work for you and nobody else. That’s the whole point.
Can you actually attend our meetings?+
Yes. We can join in person or on a call, either alongside you or representing you directly. Beforehand we’ll agree exactly what you want out of it.
How do you charge?+
Simple options: a fixed fee for a specific decision or review, a day rate for meetings, or a light monthly retainer if you want us on call. No lock-in.
We’re a small business — is this overkill?+
The opposite. Big companies have IT directors to do this. Advisory gives you that same expertise for the moments that matter, without the salary.
